What to Expect

This 2.5-hour experiential workshop brings together guided reflection, IFS-informed concepts, meaningful conversation, and the creative practice of Kintsugi.

We’ll begin by exploring the idea of imperfection and the many parts of ourselves—the parts we embrace, the parts we protect, and sometimes the parts we try to hide. Through gentle reflection and facilitated discussion, you’ll be introduced to concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS) that invite curiosity and compassion toward these different parts.

We’ll then move into a hands-on Kintsugi ceramics experience, using the practice of repair as a metaphor for wholeness, resilience, and embracing what has shaped us.

There will be space throughout the session to slow down, reflect, create, and connect. No previous experience with ceramics, Kintsugi, IFS, or therapy is required. All materials, journal, and guidance will be provided.

You’ll leave with your Kintsugi piece, reflection prompts to continue exploring after the workshop, and a different perspective on what it can mean to be whole—not despite our imperfections, but with them.

An evidence-informed workshop combining psychotherapy, reflection, and nervous system regulation for individuals navigating change, loss, grief and shifts in mood during the fall/winter season.
